Our mission
to be
forward
together

We’re focused on making a real impact on people’s access to care in women’s health and prostate cancer.

Transformative advocacy is the lens through which we look to understand and help solve for the problems that impede people with uterine health issues or prostate cancer from living their best lives.

We partner with the community to challenge the status quo. Together, we address the complex sets of challenges existing around individuals like inequities in care, stigma, and shame so that everyone can thrive.

Principles of transformative advocacy

WHAT WE DO

Whole person healthcareWe see people as more than the conditions they are managing. The urgency to help individuals live their most productive and confident lives drives our work in developing solutions that reflect their lived experience.

Health equityWe advocate for a world in which everyone—regardless of age, race, place, ethnicity, ability status, sexual orientation, or gender—can move forward on their health journey with confidence. We target social drivers to develop education and digital solutions that can be accessed by all.

HOW WE DO IT

ResponsibilityWe intend to be the change we want to see. The company—and the individuals that comprise the organization—is accountable to the society that exists around us. At Myovant, We starts with Me.

Meaningful partnershipWe are building a movement of leaders and organizations committed to accelerating a brighter and healthier future through novel, creative, and sustained collaboration.

Awareness to actionWe strive to support people to disrupt the status quo—to give voice to patients’ lived experiences, to elevate the conversation, and to implement measures to transform care outcomes.

Redefining care for women

AN UNACCEPTABLE STATUS QUO

At Myovant, we believe the status quo in women’s healthcare is unacceptable. Consider the facts: Uterine fibroids and endometriosis are common diseases, but getting a diagnosis can take years. 46% of women with heavy menstrual bleeding have never seen a physician.

In the U.S., these issues can be worse for marginalized groups. For example, the burden of uterine fibroids and endometriosis is greater for Black and Hispanic women compared to white women. 1 in 4 transgender or gender non-conforming people report not seeking health care from a physician for fear of being mistreated as a transgender person.

TRANSFORMATIVE ADVOCACY

Through transformative advocacy we’re funding vital projects and partnering with passionate leaders to redefine care in women’s health.

On any given day, 800 million people worldwide are menstruating, and yet abnormal periods—symptoms of endometriosis and uterine fibroids—are rarely understood. We look to end period shame, stigma, and unequal treatment to ensure patients and healthcare providers have the support and tools they need for shared decision making.

Redefining care for men

SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES

At Myovant, we believe that significant challenges remain for men with prostate cancer despite recent progress. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in men in the U.S. Prostate cancer also has the largest racial disparity of any major cancer, killing Black men twice as often as white men.

Despite new medications and increased public awareness, there remains an inadequate focus on the full spectrum of mental and physical health issues that men with prostate cancer face—especially among men who are Black, men who have sex with men (MSM), and U.S. veterans.

TRANSFORMATIVE ADVOCACY

Our approach to transformative advocacy is twofold: we’re funding important projects and partnering with passionate leaders to redefine care for men with prostate cancer.

We’re working across sectors to address the complex set of challenges that these men face, including persistent racial disparities. Through partnership, we can accelerate the momentum to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer.

Get involved

At Myovant, we are working tirelessly to redefine care for women and for men.

Nothing we do at Myovant would be possible without the women and men who motivate us every day to be better scientists, advocates, and change-makers. This work requires cross-sector collaboration and partnerships to create the systemic change that is needed.
